INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BIODIVERSITY, CONSERVATION, AND CLIMATE CHANGE

The International Conference on Biodiversity, Conservation, and Climate Change, jointly organized by the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology, NAS RA, and Yerevan State University, aims to foster scientific exchange at the intersection of biodiversity, conservation, and climate change. This conference will encourage the active participation of the international scientific community to identify knowledge gaps and highlight areas needing further research. The event seeks to bring together leading global scholars and experts to deepen understanding of emerging issues and research methodologies in biodiversity and conservation, particularly in the context of a globally changing climate.

Sessions of the Conference
The conference will feature the following thematic sessions:

- Vertebrate Biodiversity, Conservation, and Climate Change
- Plant and Fungi Biodiversity, Conservation, and Climate Change
- Aquatic Biodiversity, Conservation, and Climate Change
Each session will include oral presentations, poster discussions, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Excursion
An exclusive post-conference excursion is scheduled for May 8, 2025, providing participants with a unique opportunity to explore Armenia’s natural and cultural heritage. Highlights include:
- A visit to Lake Sevan, the Second largest high-altitude freshwater lake in the world.
- Exploration of Sevan National Park, renowned for its ecological diversity.
- A tour of the historic Sevan Peninsula and Sevanavank Monastery.
